Student Investment Account Application

Student Investment Account Application

Last spring, the passing of the Student Success Act in the Oregon legislature opened up the opportunity to apply for a grant that will generate a significant amount of additional funding for the district to invest in our students’ education.  The purpose of the grant is to meet students’ mental and behavioral health needs and increase academic achievement. This grant is especially focused on reducing academic disparities for students of color; students with disabilities; emerging bilingual students; students navigating poverty, as well as those experiencing homelessness, and foster care.  Other student groups that have historically experienced academic disparities are also included.

Our district recognizes the impact this can have on our students and have made the process of designing a plan that meets students’ learning needs a priority. Our district is excited to announce that our Student Investment Account application is ready for public viewing.

This application was developed with careful consideration given to the input from stakeholders gathered during engagement events hosted in the late fall and early winter months. Careful consideration was also given to student achievement data resulting from state and local assessments.
