Revised 2016-17 Calendar Approved
School Board Approves Calendar for More School Days
Revised Calendars
The Molalla River School District had a total of nine snow days over the past two months.  Last night, the School Board approved a plan to make up lost days.  The revised calendar restores six instructional days for students and extends the school year by two days.

Highlights:
Molalla River students will be in school until Friday, June 16
Teacher work days have been moved or eliminated to make room for instructional days on April 3 and May 26
K-8 conference days will become school days on March 15-16
The high school conference day will become a school day on May 5
Late start Fridays in May will become regular start days

Eliminating spring conference days is not an easy decision.  We value these key opportunities to communicate with parents. Yet, at this point, recovering instructional time is our highest priority.  Note:  June report cards will be mailed home after the grading day on Monday, June 19.

Despite the winter weather's impact on our schools, students, and families, this multi-faceted approach restores our instructional momentum and rhythm.  We appreciate the flexibility and dedication of our employee groups, District leadership, and our School Board to come up with a solution that serves the students of the Molalla River School District.
